Welcome to Skidrowstudio.com. I am the owner and operator. I do professional demos here in Portland Tennessee, about 35 miles north of Nashville. I treat them all as if they were mine and I get very personal with each demo. Most studios charge by the hour and by the time they’re through, your bill can be astronomical. That’s not how I work. I charge by the song and I get $250.00 per song. I can usually have a song ready in about two days. I play all the instruments with the exception of fiddle and steel guitar. I would have to charge $50 extra per song for those players should you require their instruments on your songs. I play guitar, drums, bass, keyboards, percussion, banjo and dobro.
I have played guitar professionally all my life on the road with such artists as Joe Diffie, Ronnie McDowell, Dr Hook, Artimus Pyle (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Billy Joe Royal and others. I also received gold and platinum awards for writing the song Honky Tonk Attitude for Joe Diffie and other songs for Joe and Ronnie McDowell.
It is my goal to make the best quality demos possible without breaking your bank account. I know what it’s like to need songs recorded on a small budget. That’s why I do what I do.
